In severe, systemic cases of the disease it is thought that the absorptive mechanisms of the intestinal wall become altered resulting in toxins from the Candida yeast entering the bloodstream. This is a severe condition that has been associated with a wide range of sometimes seemingly un related symptoms such as fatigue, depression, join pain, migraines, constipation and bowel irritation.
